Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by IONOS SE. For security, availability and troubleshooting, the hosting service may process IP addresses, access times, requested URLs, browser information and server logs. This is based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure website.

Website enquiries

Deep Deutsch uses your contact details, question and optional background details to respond to your enquiry. The enquiry is held in private storage at the website host and emailed to the responsible contact. Temporary pseudonymised counters help prevent abuse. This does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

The website stores your enquiry for up to 90 days. Subsequent correspondence or a contract may have separate retention requirements.

Leben in Deutschland learning tool

If you voluntarily create a LiD account, we process the username, password hash, necessary session data, learning progress and technical abuse-prevention data to provide account, synchronisation and security functions. You can delete the account in the tool; this removes account, session and progress data except where retention is legally or technically required.

Cookies, fonts and external links

The main website uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Fonts and brand media are served locally. LiD login uses only the secure cookie required for an account session. External tests and platforms apply their own privacy notices after you follow a link.

Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.
